Horizontal Loop Fiber Art Wall Hanging
45” Width by 25” Length
Large horizontal version of my popular loop chain fiber art wall hangings. Constructed of bundles of off white/ecru cotton string and yarn wrapped in mercerized cotton yarn. The black wrapping pattern is done in a random pattern that exposes some of the off-white fill beneath. The effect is reminiscent of birch trees or zebra stripes. The lengths are then folded into a oversized knots and sewn by hand into place.
The sculptural wall hanging is given extra structure with wire, glue, and a felt backing. The felt is equipped with pleather-backed grommets for easy hanging.
