An exploration in texture.

My work is a study of contradiction. It’s art and craft, retro yet contemporary, playful but deliberate. These tensions are what I find so compelling about fiber art.

In my practice, I blend traditional macrame with sculptural wrapped fiber, weaving, sewing, and decorative knotting to create unique wall decor. I use a wide variety of materials including rope, yarn, string, twine, metallic cord, and dye to create work that is full of texture and contrast.

I reside on the far north side of Chicago in an area where access to nature is abundant. The combination of urban and organic structures is yet another dichotomy that serves as the primary inspiration for my creations. Other influences include the work of fellow artists particularly in ceramics, sculpture, and painting.
